The application was prepared as part of the project of the Institute of Oncology and Radiology of Serbia "Knowledgeagainst cancer".As part of the project, 28 brochures were prepared for patients, people close to them andhealth workers.
The brochures are available in paper version and on the website of the Institute.As modern technologies are used today to obtain the required information, all this materialit has been translated into a mobile application.
That way, all texts will be available via mobilephone and their changes will be enabled.The motive for starting the mentioned project was to provide patients with:- adequate, accessible and comprehensible information on various aspects of diagnostics andtreatment of malignant diseases- instructions for behavior during and after oncological treatment, which will contribute to a better outcometolerance and treatment results, as well as a better quality of life.- instructions for reducing anxiety, easier acceptance of illness and treatment and active participationin treatment- practical information and advice that make it easier to find your way around the Institute and the systemoncological healthcare.The material is also important for healthcare workers, because oncology patients expect answers from themissues that are often not covered in detail by formal medical education and are important forthe success of treatment and, in particular, the quality of life of patients.Research and topic selection were conducted in collaboration with the Patient Support Working GroupIORS and patient associations that participate in the work of the aforementioned group.Experts from the respective fields participated in the preparation of the brochures (doctors, medicalnurses, psychologists, special education teachers)
